More than 200 people have died and hundreds more are injured in Turkey and Syria after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
The latest estimates, reported by Reuters via Sky News, are that 230 have died in Syria alone.
Earlier Monday, the death toll for both countries was 195 – including 76 in Turkey, 99 in government-held areas of Syria and 20 in rebel-held areas.
The tremor’s damage has centred on southern Turkey and Syria, but it was also felt in nearby Lebanon, Gaza and Cyprus.
