Mile dry club: Ryanair bans booze on all Glasgow to Ibiza flights

This is why some people can't have nice things...

JOE

One of the strange joys of going on holiday is a cheeky pint or two with a fry-up breakfast at the airport before a flight.

And – obviously – some gin and tonics on the flight go down well, too: It’s a holiday – who cares if it’s not even 9am yet?

But these simple pleasures can no longer be enjoyed by those flying on Ryanair flights from Glasgow to Ibiza.

The budget airline has banned booze on the route due to an abundance of drunken incidents.

This even includes duty free alcohol which will have to be put in the hold.

Examples of booze-induced chaos on flights from Glasgow include a flight that was diverted due to drunk passengers causing trouble whilst drunk in 2013.

And the video below shows apparently tipsy Celtic fans on a flight back in 2012 getting a little rowdy.
