PSG reportedly want Rashford to replace Kylian Mbappe in the summer

Marcus Rashford has apparently made a decision on where his long-term future lies beyond the end of this season.

Despite hitting form in recent weeks it’s been a difficult season for Rashford who has only scored eight goals in all competitions.

Paris Saint-Germain have been admirers of the England international for some time and have identified him as the man to replace Kylian Mbappe, who is almost certainly heading to Real Madrid this summer.

The French giants tried to sign Rashford back in 2022 and offered him £400,000-a-week only for the 26-year-old to turn them down.

Rashford decides where he will be next season

Earlier this month, the Mirror, said that PSG would send an offer of £75m to the Red Devils to lure him away from Old Trafford. They added that United would want around £100m to begin discussions but one source told The Sun that Rashford would turn down any advances and is one of the players that won’t be part of the mass exodus.

“A lot of players will be leaving Manchester United in the summer, but Marcus won’t be among them,” they said.

“He’s seen by the new regime as a key part of the future direction the club wants to go in.

“Marcus has really knuckled down since his problems earlier this year off the field.

“He’s impressed Erik Ten Hag and the rest of the coaching staff and he’s determined to end the season by banging in lots of goals and trying to force his way into the England team for the Euros.

“Then he wants to play a pivotal role in ensuring that Manchester United can get back to where they need to be, the top four and challenging for the Premier League.”

Rashford committed to United

In a piece with the Players’ Tribune, he said: “If you ever question my commitment to United, that’s when I have to speak up. It’s like somebody questioning my entire identity and everything I stand for as a man.

“If you start questioning my commitment to this club and my love for football and bringing my family into it, then I’d simply ask you to have a bit more humanity.”
