Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was discovered at a school by 'pupils getting ready to do PE'.
Emergency services were called after the grim find was made in the grounds of Smestow Academy this morning (January 19).
One resident said an 11 year-old girl discovered the body at around 10.40am when she went out for PE.
Pupils were sent home and the school was closed as enquiries got underway at the scene in the Castlecroft area of the city.
West Midlands Police said they were now working to confirm the man’s identity and the circumstances around his death.
