The confrontation became heated when the man mentioned Ma’Khia Bryant

A conversation between police officers and a black man in Washington DC became heated after the man mentioned Ma’Khia Bryant, the 16-year-old who was shot dead by Police last Tuesday.

In the Tiktok video, which has been viewed nearly 950,000 times, the man asks the Police: “Y’all gonn’ kill him like Ma’Khia Bryant?”

The police officer responds, saying: “Are you gonna stab somebody like her?”

The man immediately replied saying “no”, before adding “but she called y’all for help!”

He proceeds to tell the officers that the video will go viral.

Despite the circumstances surrounding the heated debate being unknown, the exchange has been criticised widely online.

On TikTok, one user commented: “She called the cops to help her and got murdered by the cops because she was trying to protect herself.”

Another person wrote: “She ain’t stab no one. It was defense, she didn’t want to fight and most likely to scare them and not do anything wrong.”

The Metropolitan Police Department is aware of the incident and is looking into it, according to TMZ.

This comes after Ma’Khia Bryant was shot dead by an Ohio police officer when she was seen holding a knife and threatening another girl when police arrived at the scene.

A police officer then fatally shot the 16-year-old girl four times in the chest.

Following the shooting, ‘Black Girls Matter’ protestors lined the streets of Ohio, chanting the teenager’s name.

The shooting took place just moments before Derek Chauvin was found guilty of George Floyd’s murder in the second degree.
