A famous holiday park in Britain, which is known for its shopping village, theatre and golf course, has fallen into administration.
It has lodged a notice to appoint administrators, and the fate of Stonham Barns now hangs in the balance.
It is renowned for hosting unique events such as historical re-enactments and classic car shows.
On its website, the park declares that “Stonham Barns Leisure and Shopping Village is a bustling family complex filled with an abundance of attractions and activities to suit all, providing a wonderful family day out”.
The park, which is situated in the Suffolk countryside, filed the notice on Monday, February 16.
The site will continue to accept new bookings, with all facilities operating as usual throughout the administration process, and all existing holiday bookings will be honoured.
“We are very much focused on business as usual and want to reassure guests with existing bookings that these are unaffected. Anyone considering booking a visit can make one with confidence too”, David Hudson, who was appointed as joint administrator with David Hinrichsen of FRP Advisory, told The Sun.
In its newest statement, the park said that “the administrators are focused on continuing to trade the site whilst seeking a buyer, with the aim of securing the park's future as a going concern”.
