Macklemore announces ‘Free Palestine’ tour with all proceeds going to support the Palestinian people

He announced the tour today.

The American rapper announced the news today, ten days after being removed as support for Ed Sheeran on his Loop tour, following the Free Palestine speech he gave at the start of the month at the Met Life Stadium.

While Sheeran has continued to ride the fence, Macklemore has doubled down on his stance, saying in an Instagram post today: "It’s 2026. Being apolitical during a genocide doesn’t work anymore.

"People are asking artists to show up, educate themselves and be in community. To use the stage for more than entertainment.

"To push back when the call for a Free Palestine is met with attempts to silence it."

He added: "What happened to me is bigger than one artist or one stage.

"When the billionaire class can decide which voices are allowed on stage and which ones are too dangerous to hear, everyone should be paying attention."

The musician added that "details are still being worked out", but that the tour will be heading to Paris, London and Dublin, with US dates to be added.

He'll have support too, saying that he's been reaching out to artists "who have shown up and used their stages to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, regardless of the consequences."
