The former Lostprophets singer, Ian Watkins, has been stabbed in jail according to numerous reports.
Watkins, who was serving a 29-year sentence for child sex offences was being held in HMP Wakefield, was reportedly stabbed and left in a critical condition, reports the Mirror.
Watkins was jailed back in 2013 for a string of horrific child sex offences.
The former singer was sentenced to 29 years in prison with a further six years on license.
Before being imprisoned, Watkins sold millions of albums across the world as the frontman of the band Lostprophets.
The Welsh band were formed in 1997 and released five studio albums including a number one album in the UK and two Top 10 singers.
Watkin's was arrested on 17 December 2012 due to a drug possession charge, during which police conducted a search of his home and computer and found numerous images of children stored on his computer.
He was then imprisoned for a serious of extreme charges against children and even babies.
Following the news that Watkins was attacked in jail, a prison spokesperson revealed that they are investigating an incident which took place on Saturday but declined to comment further.
