Witham Special Vehicles in Lincolnshire have 30 of the Sea King helicopters for sale. Around 20 of the vehicles are still good to fly (available for the eye watering price of £150,000). The remaining numbers are being sold as impressive hulks for whatever your heart desires.
Talking to the Telegraph, Witham's managing director Paul Southerington explained how they're being turned into luxury man caves. “They are being sold for upmarket gardens sheds or ‘man caves’. One guy was going to put a bedroom in and siting room in it," he said.
“They are ideal for conversion. The sky's the limit with what you can do with one. They are all made of aluminium so they will never rust or rot.”
The price for one of these mean machines? An eye watering £10,000. Best start saving those pennies if you want to live the manly men dream.News
