A man who was late for a Ryanair flight to Amsterdam was tackled by staff at Dublin Airport as he tried to make his way towards the plane on Thursday morning.

It’s understood the man broke through a door to try to get on to the apron and subsequently tried to flag the aircraft down.

The passenger was late for his flight but got through the boarding gate and a door leading to the tarmac, close to the Ryanair plane.

Dublin Aviation have uploaded the conversation that occurred between the Ryanair pilot of flight 54RC to Amsterdam and the Air Traffic Controller working at the time.

The pilot can be heard saying, “I think we have to call the authorities here, there is a passenger that is trying to get inside the plane.”
