Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen has died aged 67.
He appeared in dozens of films throughout his career, including Free Willy, Thelma and Louise and Sin City.
Madsen was well known for his collaborations with Quentin Tarantino, starring in Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The legendary actor was found unresponsive at his Malibu home on Thursday morning.
His manager Ron Smith confirmed that he died from a cardiac arrest.
Susan Ferris and Ron Smith, Madsen's managers, and his publicist Liz Rodriguez issued a statement.
"In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life," they wrote.
"Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, currently being edited. Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, who will be missed by many."
