The singer is making changes to the iconic track
Kesha has revealed that she is changing the lyrics to her track ‘TikTok’ following P Diddy’s arrest.
Combs, 54, was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on Monday September 16.
The following day it was revealed that he’s been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He entered a not guilty plea in court earlier this week.
Combs has been denied bail twice and is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre.
His lawyers had argued that he should be spared jail while he awaits trial and suggested a $50 million bond with electronic monitoring, weekly drug tests, a visitor log, the surrender of his passport and no contact with women.
Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said he was disappointed over the arrest, calling the prosecution “unjust.”
He said that Combs has cooperated fully with authorities and even relocated to New York in anticipation of potential charges.
“Diddy is not a criminal. While he is imperfect, this arrest is unwarranted. We urge the public to withhold judgment until all the facts are made clear,” Agnifilo said.
“Mr. Combs looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Combs’ arrest follows a wave of lawsuits and allegations involving sexual assault and misconduct.
Lawyers representing some of the accusers called the arrest “long overdue,” signalling a step toward justice for the alleged victims.
“The evidence against Mr. Combs is compelling. This arrest is just the beginning of a long-awaited reckoning,” attorneys Rodney Diggs and Tyrone Blackburn said in a joint statement.
The arrest also coincides with an ongoing federal investigation that became public in March, when authorities executed search warrants at Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami.
After Diddy’s initial arrest, singer Kesha changed the lyrics to her hit track ‘TikTok’, which famously opens with the line: “Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy.”

During her tour last year, Kesha changed the lyric to: “‘Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.”
However, in a set at Coachella earlier this year, she said: “Wake up in the morning like f**k P Diddy.”
The 37-year-old was questioned whether this change was permanent, and she confirmed this was the case.
“Yes, it will be. The fans should learn it for my upcoming.
“I want to hear it louder than ever. I stand by that. I’m not the kind of person that shuts the f**k up, I know what I stand for.
“I know my integrity is rock-solid, so I speak the truth. The industry can kinda, like, suck my d**k.”
She has previously said she will re-record the track and has the ‘legal rights to’.
Investigators have also been looking into allegations against Diddy related to sex trafficking, sexual assault, and illegal drug and firearms distribution.
In 2023, R&B singer Cassie filed a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of years of physical and sexual abuse.
The case was settled out of court, but Combs faced backlash after a video surfaced showing him allegedly assaulting Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016.
Despite the settlement, Combs publicly apologised for his past behaviour.
Other lawsuits have since emerged. Two women have accused the rapper of sexual assault, and a music producer has claimed that Combs coerced him into soliciting prostitutes and pressured him to engage in sexual acts.
Combs and his legal team have consistently denied most of these accusations.
