A man arrested on suspicion of assault, theft, and coercive control after Katie Price needed hospital treatment on Monday, has been released on bail.

Price, 43, was rushed to hospital with an eye injury after an alleged assault at her home in Little Cranfield, Essex, around 1.30am.

Essex Police said on Tuesday that a 32-year-old man arrested after the incident had since been released on bail until 20 September. He was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.

The Sun on Tuesday ran several pictures showing mother-of-five, Price, with a bruised face and cut lip. The newspaper alleged she had been punched.

Price told the newspaper: “I’ve got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital. I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated. I’ve told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened.

“I ran away after being punched – I ran to Harvey’s house – nearby and have now done damage to my feet, which I previously injured.

“I can’t say any more.”
