“It’s beautiful to see her supporting her child.”

Jennifer Lopez has been praised after she introduced her child Emme using they/them pronouns during a performance together.

The pop legend was performing at LA’s Dodgers Stadium for the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala when she brought Emme out on stage.

“The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t,” J Lo said in a clip from the gig, which took place back in 2022 when Emme was 14 years old.

“So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey.”

The ‘Get Loud’ songstress called Emme her “favourite duet partner”.

Lopez added: “They cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favourite duet partner of all time. So if you will indulge me.”

Despite Lopez using they/them pronouns for Emme, neither her nor Emme has spoken out about how they identify.

However, fans have flocked to praise the singer for her respect in using they/them pronouns for her child.

“Emme is so brave. They’re only 14. And you can see it in jlo’s eyes. She’s so proud,” one person wrote.

A second put: “Amazing!! In love with this!”

While a third wrote: “I love how us Mothers will support our children no matter what! I love this, go Emme.”

“Awww JLo respecting the pronouns,” a fourth penned.
