Jamie Oliver has remarried his wife of 23 years.
The celebrity chef revealed on Easter Sunday that he and his wife Jools had renewed their vows during a family trip to the Maldives.
Sharing images from the holiday on social media, the 47-year-old explained why he and Jools decided to get married all over again.
Captioning the post on Instagram, he wrote: "Morning all, Me & @joolsoliver got married again!
"Yep, after 23 years together, we thought it would be a special moment to celebrate renewing our wedding vows before the kids all start leaving the nest.
"It was really special, funny and romantic with the words in the ceremony making more sense having come this far together."
Recalling their first wedding together back in 2000, he continued: "It seems like a blink since the first wedding which we kept very private apart from the paparazzi at the village church we thought it would be a happy and joyful moment to share with you all this Easter.
"We’ve always dreamed of going to the Maldives and it was just as you would have dreamed, simply amazing!
"A massive thank you to all the team at @discoversoneva for blowing our minds and making this moment so special and memorable big love guys Jamie xxxxxxxxx."
The happy couple were only joined by their five children for the intimate beach ceremony.
Jamie's sons Buddy, 12, and River, 6, wore outfits that matched their dad's pale blue suit, whilst daughters Poppy, 21, Daisy, 19, and Petal, 14, wore white to match up with their mum's wedding dress.
Jools shared pictures from the ceremony on her own Instagram page, and sounded full of joy that she got to share the moment with her family.
She wrote: "So wonderful the first time we did it again.
"What an incredible memory to treasure so happy, emotional, romantic and beautiful.
"Seeing the children’s little faces made the whole experience so special. I could only have dreamed of being on a holiday this magical."
Jamie and Jools first married at All Saints Church in Essex in 2000, after they'd been together for eight years.
And they've had their eyes on renewing their vows ever since they celebrated their 20th anniversary. But because this was during Covid, they decided to wait until restrictions
"Jools wants to get married again. We'll do it completely differently," he had told Event magazine back in 2020.
"It sounds a bit cheesy, but 20 is an amazing milestone. It's nice to have an excuse to get people together."
