James Argent has been given a suspended prison sentence and a restraining order after being arrested in Spain.
Former Miss Sweden Artursson, 32, had been dating Argent for 11 months, and the couple were on holiday in Mijas, near Malaga.
Spanish police told BBC that Argent was arrested on May 5 for "an alleged crime of domestic violence".
He appeared before the Court of Violence against Women in Fuengirola, where he was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, the BBC reports.
He has also been banned from contacting Artursson for the next 24 months.
A Spanish Ministry of Justice spokesperson says he "acknowledges the facts and admits the penalty".
Argent has been ordered to complete a gender violence rehabilitation course.
"The suspension would be lifted if [Argent] fails to comply with the measures imposed," they added.
Argent featured on TOWIE for years from 2010 and 2018, and became known by the nickname Arg.
