Conservative MP Iain Duncan Smith is known to be a big football fan, and he brought out his well-honed terrace celebrations during the Budget announcement.
Duncan Smith, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions can be seen punching the air and shouting “f**king get in” following George Osborne’s reference to the new national living wage.
Presumably he’s had plenty of practice at Tottenham, where he is a season ticket holder.
We’re not quite sure why this feature of the Budget brought such an outpouring of emotion, but then again he’s always been a difficult man to work out.
A supposed Spurs regular, IDS has also been identified as an Aston Villa fan in the past.
It’s not like a Tory MP to forget which team he supports. Oh, wait…
