Hundreds of American students form clown-chasing mob as more creepy sightings reported

"FUCK OFF CLOWNS"

Matt Tate

Believe it or not, Donald Trump is not the most troublesome clown in America right now.

For over a month police forces across a number of US states have been dealing with reports of pretty unsettling run-ins with sinister clown figures causing trouble in public places.

Earlier this week we told you about the two guys in Ohio that spotted one in the woods while out jogging, and since then clown hysteria has become international news.

Police have issued warnings to the public about what to do if they’re approached, threatened or even attacked – and physical attacks have been reported – by anyone dressed as a clown, but students at Penn State University decided to take matters into their own hands.

According to TIME at least 500 students mobbed together in pursuit of three clowns that had supposedly been spotted near the university campus. The Daily Collegian Twitter account also posted a picture that they claimed to be a projection of a clown’s face onto the Beaver Hill apartments that house students.

Footage of the mass horde was quickly uploaded to social media, including one clip of one topless guy giving a rousing speech to his fellow rioters. You’d have to be a pretty ballsy clown to stick around with this lot on your tail.

A Twitter account called ‘Scary Clown Sighting’ was set up so that people can documents where they’ve seen one. Inevitably loads are piss-takes, but a lot look like they’ve been ripped straight from a horror movie.
