Heinz have released Beanz Meanz Upside Down tins to help people get every last bean.
The ring-pull tins feature upside down labels, designed to encourage people to naturally store them ‘ring pull side down’ in their cupboards.
Storing it this way ensures the beloved beans slip out with ease.
The launch comes after research shows 87 per cent of customers go to great lengths to get the last bean.
Food scientist, Professor Charles Spence advised storing the tin upside down to ensure the beans in their delicious, rich, thick sauce settle at the bottom of the tin, making them easier to pour out.
Alessandra de Dreuille, director of meals & infant UK at Heinz said: “We hope our upside down label makes more people aware of the hack and they continue to store their beans upside down even after this limited-edition release runs out, because they’re too good to leave behind.”
Back in 2021, a video posted on TikTok by the account @sockformation showed the simple answer to avoiding the annoyance of beans getting stuck to the bottom of the can.

In the video shared by the account, which is run by a man called Tim, the can is shown (shockingly) stored upside down in the cupboard, before cutting to a clip of them being emptied with remarkable ease into a saucepan.
No fuss, no sauce splash-back and crucially no scraping of the can with a spoon to get the final few beans that refuse to budge.
At the time, viewers thought it was revolutionary with one fan commenting: “100% it is the greatest hack ever.” Another went as far to say that this ‘could be a game changer to all tinned foods in our home.’
With the new data showing that some people are still not using the hack or even aware of it, Heinz has made all our lives easier with their Upside Down tins to remind us.
The video had its critics at the time as some viewers said the labels being upside down would disrupt the order and tidiness of their cupboards but Heinz new hack will alleviate that problem.
