Harry and Meghan to visit the UK in September

It will be just the third time Meghan has visited the UK in more than two years

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be visiting the UK next month in order to attend a number of charity events, it has been confirmed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also visit Germany as part of their trip in early September to visit “several charities close to their hearts.”

The first stop on their European trip will be Manchester, where the couple will attend the One Young World Summit on September 5. This is an event that brings together young leaders from more than 190 nations.

Meghan is a counsellor for the organisation, along with the likes of Justin Trudeau, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Roger Federer.

Following this, they will then travel to Germany for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event, before returning to the UK for the WellChild Awards.

Harry founded the Invictus Games, which is a sport event specifically for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women. He is also a patron of WellChild.

Harry and Meghan’s trip next month will be the first time they have visited the UK since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

Whilst visiting for the Jubilee, they got the opportunity to introduce their daughter Lilibet to her great-grandmother.

Their trip next month will be just the third time Meghan has returned to the UK in more than two years since her and Harry quit their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.

A spokesperson for the couple said: “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September.”
