The indictment makes Trump the first former US president to face criminal charges
Donald Trump has reportedly been indicted by a New York grand jury, on charges of falsifying business records surrounding payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in order to prevent her from revealing details of an affair he had with her.
Grand jurors voted to indict the former US president at some point this week. It is currently under seal after being filed late on Thursday.
The indictment makes Trump the first former US president to face criminal charges.
