Finally Apple will allow users to edit and unsend iMessages

At long last, the era of autocorrect typos and regrettable late-night confessions and texting the wrong person looks like it could finally be over as Apple has announced that users can now edit, mark as unread and even un-send texts on iMessage. Unveiling a myriad of new features as part of their Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 6, as you can see in short clip above, Apple detailed how you can now fix unfortunate typos, mark as unread if you're too busy to reply instantly and even pretend that embarrassing text after one too many shandies never happened at all by simply deleting the message. Other new additions to iOS 16 announced at this year's conference included the ability to further edit and personalise your lock and home screen, tailor your focus and 'do not disturb' parameters; create a shared iCloud photo library, new mail organisation and Apple Pay tools, just to name a few. There was plenty of interesting stuff to get to grips with - but these next messaging functions are long overdue.
