That last one is going to come in handy for a fair few of you, we're sure.
Other new additions to iOS 16 announced at this year's conference included the ability to further edit and personalise your lock and home screen, tailor your focus and 'do not disturb' parameters; create a shared iCloud photo library, new mail organisation and Apple Pay tools, just to name a few.
There was plenty of interesting stuff to get to grips with - but these next messaging functions are long overdue. Hopefully, we're all about to see a lot less random ducks popping up in our text chats.
