‘I thought this was Jen I was so confused’
While Ben and Jen usually steal the headlines, it was a different star garnering all the attention over the weekend.
Celebrity-spotters couldn’t quite believe just how much Violet Affleck looks like her mum, fellow A-lister Jennifer Garner.
Violet was captured posing for some snaps with her dad, Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Lopez, at billionaire CEO, Michael Rubin Fourth of July white party.
Some couldn’t quite believe just how much the 17-year-old looks like the star of 13 Going On 30, Garner, who is 51.
That’s not to say she looks old, because both mother and daughter are fresh-faced.
One fan tweeted: “Ben Affleck’s daughter is literally her mother’s (Jennifer Garner) twin.
“Like I know kids will look like their parents but what role did Ben’s DNA play if any?
In a follow-up tweet, the fan added: “What did you contribute Ben?”
Another said: “You know you did no work when your kids dimple is in the exact same spot as your spouse like wow y’all really cut me out of the equation.”
Another commenter suggested Affleck had “contributed the height”, with Violet being taller than her mum.
Garner didn’t attend Rubin’s party – which Jay Z and Kim Kardashian were pictured at – though, some suggested she had.
“I think we can all agree that’s Jennifer Garner, totally posing as her daughter.”
Others were, seemingly, genuinely, baffled: “I thought this was Jen I was so confused.”
Affleck and Garner divorced in 2018 after 13 years of marriage.
The pair also co-parent Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 10.
The Gone Girl actor and director has since blended his family when he married Jennifer Lopez in August 2022.
She shares 15-year-old twins from a previous relationship, Maximilian and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Affleck and Lopez originally got engaged in 2003, but called it off in January 2004, before getting back together in 2021.
