Fans are not happy
Sam Smith has been forced to cancel their upcoming show in Glasgow tonight due to illness.
Smith was due to perform in the city on Saturday but announced Friday that they had to postpone as they’re unable to give the “best version” of the Gloria tour due to being unwell.
The gig, due to take place at Glasgow’s Ovo Hydro, has been rescheduled for 25 May.
All previous tickets are valid for the new date.
Announcing the news on Twitter, the ‘Stay With Me’ singer wrote: “Sailors. I’m so sorry to say but we have to reschedule the Glasgow show to May 25, 2022.
“Myself and a lot of my team have been hit with a virus, that’s made us really unwell. “I want to give you the best version of Gloria the tour and at the moment that’s not possible. It was also really important to me that we had another date to move this to straight away.
“We will celebrate Gloria together. All previous tickets are still valid for the new date. “All my love, Sam.”
Fan were left devastated by the announcement, with some saying they will lose money over it, and can’t make the new date.
Another fan wrote: “Was due to see Sam Smith tomorrow night in Glasgow and they have rescheduled last minute, lost the money paid for the hotel.”
And another fan added: “Honestly, I have no words! We are still going to Glasgow it’s a canny weekend but like you’d be massively disappointed!”
