And like that, it's over
For the past four years it has felt that not a single day has gone by without Donald Trump shitting the presidential bed and doing something either truly heinous or ridiculous.
When he took office we all knew that the former Apprentice host lacked any semblance of decorum, but we probably weren't prepared for just how truly bizarre his term would be.
At any point over the last 200-plus weeks, you could likely identify something strange that he had said or done on any given day, and in many ways that has contributed to the world itself becoming a stranger place than it already was.
But, as Joe Biden prepared to be sworn in as the new president of the United States, Trump's time as Commander-in-Chief has ended with something of a whimper, rather than the bang that he had so clearly hoped for.
And with that, it gives us time to pause and reflect on a remarkably peculiar four years, and to laugh at the man who has contributed so much to the division and misinformation we see across the world right now.
