Heartbreaking news.
Danielle Moore, the front-woman of the legendary group, Crazy P, has died aged 52.
Taking to Instagram, the band announced that Moore had died in ‘sudden and tragic circumstances’.
They wrote: “We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died in sudden and tragic circumstances.
“This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th. We cannot believe the news ourselves and we know it will be the same for all of you.
“She gave us so much and we love her so much. Our hearts are broken. We need time to process that this has happened.”
The post continued: “Danielle lived a life driven by love compassion community and music.
“She lived the biggest of lives. We will miss her with all our hearts.”
Moore joined the group back in 2002 alongside Tim Davies on bass and Mav Kendricks on keys.
They went onto release seven studio albums.
Recently the group supported Roisin Murphy on tour with Murphy paying tribute to Moore on social media describing her as ‘an amazing person’.
She wrote: “One of the most beautiful souls has left us. The brillant Danielle Moore of @crazypmusic has died suddenly and she has taken so much light with her.
“One of the best in music, an amazing person and an amazing singer, performer and songwriter. I know there will be a great sense of loss and mourning across our community.
“She touched everybody she met with light and love. Sending sincerest condolences to those friends and family closest to her. I, like so many, loved and admired her. RIP my darling.”
Moore’s cause of death has not been shared.
