The British Transport Police is investigating

A couple were ejected from a Glasgow train after allegedly engaging in sexual activity on board.

The train conductor on the service that was heading from Alloa to Glasgow Queen Street on Monday afternoon became aware of the incident and asked the pair to leave at the next stop which was Lenzie.

The British Transport Police confirmed that their officers were investigating the incident.

A spokesperson said: "We received a report of a sexual activity taking place onboard the 3.46pm train from Alloa to Glasgow Queen Street on Monday (17 March). 

"The two people involved were asked to leave the service at the next stop by the on board conductor. Officers are now investigating this incident."

ScotRail Customer Operations Director, Phil Campbell said: "We’re aware of an incident on board one of our trains on Monday afternoon, which has been reported to British Transport Police."
