Dana White says Conor McGregor tried to justify his actions in Brooklyn on Thursday

UFC President Dana White says he has been in contact with Conor McGregor over Thursday's attack on a bus carrying a number of fighters in Brooklyn on Thursday, with the Dublin fighter believing he was justified in his actions. Speaking on the First Things First show, White said: "We didn't have a good conversation yesterday, and it wasn't really about the situation. He felt that my interview on ESPN yesterday - and with MMA Junkie - he wasn't happy with some of the things that I said." White explained that McGregor felt he was justified in seeking out Khabib Nurmagomedov, who had been involved in an altercation with Artem Lobov last week. McGregor did express some contrition, however, for the fact that Rose Namajunas and Michael Chiesa got injured in the attack. White explained more of the background to Thursday events, explaining how McGregor had brought people over from Ireland to 'coordinate an attack' on the bus. "There's nothing like this that has ever happened," claimed White. https://twitter.com/FTFonFS1/status/982230790162464768 https://twitter.com/FTFonFS1/status/982223878461128704
