Child actor Blake Garrett has died at the age of 33.
Garrett, who was a former child star, was best known for his role in 2006's How To Eat Fried Worms, for which he won an award for his outstanding performance.
Born in 1992, Garrett got into performing at the age of eight when he appeared in a number of local productions.
He then performed in The Wizard of Oz, Annie, and Grease, before travelling with the arena show Barney's Colorful World International Tour when he was ten.
TMZ report that Garrett died on Sunday and that his family are still waiting for the autopsy results to determine his cause of death.
His mother, Carol, explained that her son went to the hospital last week after experiencing intense pain before being diagnosed with shingles.
She believes he may have self-medicated to cope with the pain and believes that his death could have been a tragic accident.
She added that Blake had been 'living a really good life' over the last few years after he turned things around and got sober.
He was just 33.
