King Charles is rumoured to have pulled out all the stops to 'spoil' his wife Camilla on her 77th birthday.
The former Duchess of Cornwall celebrated her big day yesterday, with Prince William and Kate Middleton amongst the droves of well-wishers.
The King and Queen spent the early part of the day attending the grand State Opening of Parliament but, according to former servant of the British Royal Household Paul Burrell, King Charles made his wife feel very special in the latter part of the day.
Burrell wrote in OK magazine that Charles likely threw a party for his wife, either at Clarence House or at Birkhall in Scotland, before presenting her with a very special gift.
"He likes to give her jewellery," he said.
"I think he'll give her something special. He may have had something commissioned for a birthday. He's very spoiling, the King, and he will make sure that all attention is on Camilla.
"He likes to remind her that she's Queen," he added. "He likes to remind her that this is given by him for her service over the years to him, and this is his reward to her."
Paul continued: "I don't think there'll be any public celebrations because it's not a milestone birthday. Everything will be behind closed doors. Maybe they'll go back to the Ritz again because that was a milestone when they first stepped out together.
"They like dining out, but why dine out when you have a fantastic chef at home?"

This message was accompanied by a beaming picture of the Queen next to a basket of flowers.
These sentiments were echoed by the official royal family account, which shared a picture of Camilla in Guernsey on her recent trip to the Channel Islands this week.

One of the big announcements that came from yesterday's Kings Speech was that of a bill to establish an "independent football regulator."
The new Labour government have introduced the bill just weeks after the previous government were forced to ditch the policy days before Parliament was due to shut down ahead of the general election.
It is hoped the new bill will “ensure greater sustainability in the game and strengthen protections for fans”.

Yes, you heard that right, and while this may sound like the evil masterplan of a crazed villain, the project is actually one of goodwill for the betterment of humanity. For thousands of years, humans have been […]
