The Queen of reality TV got a dose of reality from Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace has reportedly rejected a request by Kim Kardashian to join the official Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the UK.

The reality TV star, according to Mail Online, wants to attend the Platinum Party at the Palace on Saturday and is now trying to acquire tickets by other means, even if they’re”not VIP”.

Representatives for the 41-year-old — who landed in the UK with boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, this week — asked for tickets, but the Palace turned the couple down, as did publicists at the BBC, which will broadcast the show.

Kardashian’s team has not commented to the Mail, however, a source told the publication: “Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event, so this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn’t visit the UK often. Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration.”

It is not clear why the couple is in the UK and if the Jubilee celebrations were the main draw.

The likes of Queen, Diana Ross, and Nile Rodgers will perform at the event, while Sir David Attenborough and David Beckham will make appearances.

Some 10,000 tickets were allocated via a public ballot, and 7,500 have been given to key workers, those in the Armed Forces, volunteers, and charities.

The news comes as the Queen announced she will not be attending Friday’s Jubilee service at St Paul’s Cathedral after experiencing discomfort while watching Thursday’s parade at Buckingham Palace.

The decision was made with “great reluctance” after considering the “journey and activity required”, the palace said.
