Brits are calling for Stephen Graham to be the next James Bond.
The co-creator and co-writer of the massively successful new Netflix mini-series Adolescence has been receiving huge praise online, and now he's been suggested for one of cinema's biggest roles.
The iconic role remains unfilled after Amazon MGM studio management bought the franchise.
The management previously confirmed that the role would remain played by a British male.
Journalist and TV presenter, Amol Rajan took to social media to endorse Graham for the role.
On an Instagram post, he wrote: "Oh my days I’ve had an absolute brain-wave. A Eureka moment. An actual stroke of genius."
"The next James Bond should be… Stephen Graham!
"On the uncomplicated grounds that a) talent and effort should be rewarded; and b) the next 007 should be the best actor available.
"Who’s with me?" he concluded the post.
The comments of the University Challenge presenter's post were flooded with people agreeing with his suggestion.
TV and radio presenter, Angela Scanlon commented: "YES YES YES".
Another of Rajan's followers stated: "I can definitely see this working!"
Bad Sisters actor, Lloyd Hutchinson, was one of few disagreeing, he instead suggested: "Strong but wrong Amol mate ! He’ll be an extraordinary villain , if Amazon have the balls to go for it . Love him , don’t get me wrong"
Amazon, if you're listening...much to think about!
