The 17-year-old died at the UK festival overnight.

The death of a teenage boy is being treated as “unexplained” by police after his body was found in the early hours of this morning.

While the boy is yet to be formally identified, his next of kin have been informed of his death.

The teen was pronounced dead by emergency services around 2am this morning at the festival in Richfield Avenue.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young man,” said Superintendent Rory Freeman in a statement.

“I would like to thank nearby campers for their cooperation whilst we are in attendance.

“We will continue to provide support to the boy’s family at this difficult time.”

An 18-year-old boy was also stabbed during the headline set on Friday night and was rushed to hospital.
