Boy, 13, arrested over string of sex attacks in a park on two women and a teenage girl

The attacks occurred in and around South Hill Park in Berkshire

A schoolboy has been arrested over a series of sex attacks in a park on two women and a teenage girl.

The 13-year-old remains in custody after being arrested Wednesday at his home in Bracknell, Berkshire – the same town where he’s alleged to have ambushed his victims in the street.

It’s alleged the teenager groped his victims in broad daylight on July 5 and 6.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed the arrest saying that the boy’s arrest was “in relation to sexual assaults that happened in South Hill Park, Bracknell, on July 5 and July 6 in which a teenage girl and two women aged in their 20s, were assaulted over their clothing in three separate incidents.”

The force earlier appealed for the public help to catch the offender and detailed the alleged attacked.

At around 10.50pm on July 5 a woman in her 20s was touched “inappropriately over her clothing” in South Hill Park. The following day, around 7.30am, a male cyclist touched another victim – also a woman in her 20s – on a footpath that runs behind the park and less than an hour later, around 8.20am, a teenage girl was also grabbed in the park.

Inspector Elton Evans, based at Bracknell police station, said: “We take violence against woman and girls extremely seriously and is committed to preventing harm and bringing offenders to justice.

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed these incidents or has any information about them or the suspect to please get in touch with us. “We believe the offender is the same person for all three incidents and have increased our patrols around South Hill Park as a result.”
