Jason Watson was jailed this week, less than a month after he was released from prison for another crime

A career criminal with an “appalling record” has gone viral after his mugshot was likened to Boris Johnson.

Jason Watson, who has racked up a total of 210 previous convictions including for theft and burglary, was jailed again this week, less than a month after being released from his last stint behind bars.

The 43-year-old has drawn comparisons with the 57-year-old PM, and labelled a “BoJo lookalike”, due to his similar scruffy mop of blonde hair.

Watson was jailed for four years on January 10 last year for burglary but was released on September 3 only to be jailed again this week for stealing thousands in cash from a sandwich shop.

His custody photo went viral on social media as his tousled blonde hair bears a remarkable resemblance to Boris’ famous barnet.

Among those to notice the likeness was Becky Clegg, who quipped: “Probably Boris’ son the way he puts it about.”

Bethany Olivia added: “Bojo look-a-like.”

Watson burgled House of Panini in Hull, East Yorkshire, by sneaking behind the shop’s counter and grabbing a handbag containing £1,280 along with his accomplice, Adrian Awty, 45.

The pair also made away with keys, bank cards, and a pair of Vivienne Westwood earrings after the raid on September 28.

Watson and Awty were both were given ten-month sentences at Hull Crown Court on Tuesday.
