Body of missing boy, 2, found in alligator’s mouth after mum stabbed to death

Taylen Mosley’s dad is facing murder charges

The body of a missing two-year-old boy has been found inside the mouth of an alligator – a day after his mum was found stabbed to death at their home.

Florida police saw the gator with an object in its mouth at Lake Maggiore on Friday, and shot the reptile, causing it to drop it.

That object turned out to be Taylen Mosley.

“It is with great sadness that Taylen Mosley has been found,” Chief Anthony Holloway confirmed in a press conference

The boy’s disappearance sparked a massive search this week after his mum, 20-year-old Pashun Jeffrey was found dead in their St. Petersburg, Florida, apartment on Thursday.

Jeffrey’s family discovered her after they didn’t hear from her and became concerned.

Taylen’s dad, Thomas Mosley, has been arrested on murder charges.

Earlier this week, Holloway said detectives were met with a “very violent homicide scene” inside the apartment.

“But we could not find the two-year-old. So right now, that’s our main concern — is to try and find Taylen.”

Neighbours told cops that Taylen’s father went inside the home and that there was some kind of commotion. He is then said to have left the address with cuts on his arms and sought hospital treatment.

After Jeffrey’s body was found, an Amber Alert was issued to find Taylen whose life, police feared was “hanging in the balance”.

It is not clear what happened to Taylen after his mother’s death.

His body was found at Dell Holmes Park, some 15 miles from him home.

Mosley was initially considered a person of interest in Jeffrey’s death but is will now face two first-degree murder charges.
