The band has also has a new single out on Friday

Blink 182 have finally reunited and the classic lineup are set to perform together for the first time since 2014, when they embark on a world tour in 2023 that includes several UK and Ireland stops.

The band also have a new single and album on the way, according to an announcement on Tuesday.

The band also announced the return of guitarist Tom DeLonge. He joins fellow originals, Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker.

“We’re coming. Tour’s coming. Album’s coming. Tom’s coming,” the band said in a new video trailer on YouTube.

The single, Edging, drops on Friday.

Concerts are confirmed in the UK, Europe, North America Australia and New Zealand as well as their first-ever shows in Latin America. The tour will kick off next March and conclude in February 2024.

For the UK leg, Blink-182 will visit Glasgow, London, Birmingham and Manchester in September and October 2023.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on October 17.

On Monday, Blink’s social media channels were cleared, the profile pictures were changed to the band’s logo rather than a press shot of the line-up, and the official website was listed as ‘Under Construction’.

The return of DeLonge to the line-up has been the subject of much speculations in recent months, especially after fans noticed in August how DeLonge had changed his bio on Instagram to include Blink 182, as well as Angels & Airways.

Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba started touring with Blink in 2015 and appeared on their albums California (2016) and Nine (2019). When asked if he was still part of the band, Skiba replied on Instagram: “Your guess is as good as mine.”

In August, Hoppus told People magazine that he, DeLonge and Barker were in the same room for the first time in around five years while he was battling an aggressive form of lymphoma.

Now cancer-free, Hoppus said: “I keep writing music, and I’m open to whatever the next phase of Blink is. I’m hopeful for the future. I’m just damn glad to be here.”
