This is your one-stop shop for all of the new movies and shows coming to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and to your local cinema throughout the month of August.

What’s on at the cinema in August?

We’ve not long had the likes of Top Gun: Maverick, the latest Thor and Jurassic World: Dominion; now we’ve got another a fresh batch of stronger looking feature film releases on the way.

Amazon Prime Video’s August releases

We might have to wait a little longer before we get our first taste of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power but there’s still plenty of decent additions coming to Prime this month.

Whats on Disney+ this month?

Disney+ has had a strong few months with big original series like Moon Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ms. Marvel and while there is a bit more variety this month, there is still more Marvel content coming your way.

Netflix new releases

July saw the conclusion of Stranger Things 4 and the growingly popular Sea Beast, as well as the Russo Brothers’ blockbuster, The Gray Man. This month is also shaping nicely, as we finally get to see a live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s legendary graphic novel, The Sandman. We never thought we’d see the day.
