Apple apparently set to unveil a new cheaper iPhone today

Joe Harrington

Apple is expected to launch a cheaper, smaller iPhone at an event in California later today.

The tech giant wants to break into the mid-tier market and it believes the iPhone SE (rumoured name) will do the trick.

It will have a 4″ screen – which is significantly smaller than the iPhone 6 at 5.5″ – and is expected to be a lot more affordable.

Apple is also set to unveil the iPad Air 3 and new accessories for the Apple Watch, as well as giving more details on the iPhone 7, which is due out in September.
