An ambulance outside of Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry, Co. Armagh, has burst into flames. Witnesses described hearing a loud bang and reported that the vehicle had 'blown up' as the fire service were called to the scene shortly after 9am. The Belfast Telegraph reported that the fire escalated after an oxygen tank inside the ambulance exploded on the Hospital Road. Local firefighters have since contained and extinguished the fire and there are no reports of any casualties. "An oxygen cylinder inside the ambulance was involved in the fire," the spokesman said.
