Actor Yvonne Orji has revealed on a podcast that she is still a virgin at 39 years of age.
Orji, best known for starring in the TV series Insecure, was speaking on the podcast Dear Chelsea when she opened up on her sex life.
Podcast host Chelsea Handler asked Orji outright whether she was a virgin, to which she replied 'I am.'
Handler replied: "Oh my God I love this."
"This is the most original guest we've ever had on, and what are you, 39?
"Oh my God. That dam is going to break one day, baby."
She said: "People were like, 'Oh Yvonne. Pray for him, whoever he is.'
"There's a lot of pent-up energy up in here with me."
Handler said that Yvonne will reach her ‘sexual peak’ after she first loses her virginity, and might ‘need a couple of men, probably’ after that.
Orji has spoken about her decision to remain a virgin before, and said back in 2017 that she decided before she was famous she would remain a virgin until marriage.
She has been open about her virginity in a bid to educate people about her decisions.
She said: "How will they ever understand if I don’t talk about it? I can inform your curiosity, as opposed to everyone being in the dark and just sort of creating their own narrative about it."
