The child is reportedly feral and doesn't respond to human interaction.

The Times of India reports that a young girl, believed to be between eight and 10 years old, was rescued by police in January from a troop of monkeys in the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary A police inspector on a routine patrol came across the girl and a group of apes, when he tried to approach her the monkeys reportedly screeched at him as did the young girl. The officer eventually managed to rescue her and she was admitted to hospital in Bahraich, a town in Uttar Pradesh state in northern India.
