Homenews

To any ugly Americans that find themselves reading this - throw your passports in the bin trash can right now; your hideous face is simply asking for trouble.

But don't take that from us, this advice comes from the US state department. A since-deleted tweet reminded unattractive Americans that they are no more easy on the eye when overseas and urged them to be wary of this to avoid forking out for expensive drinks or being robbed. https://twitter.com/welknett/status/715309369093566464?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw   The department shared the advice on Thursday as part of a series of ‘#springbreakingbadly’ tweets, warning students - gag-provokingly ugly students at that - of the dangers of travelling abroad for spring break. Since the tweet was deleted, the US State Department’s bureau of consular affairs issued an apology. ‘Some have been offended by our earlier tweet and we apologise that it came off negatively,' it read. The classic "sorry if you were offended" apology, there. Remember, as Christina Aguilera once sang: "You are beautiful – no matter what the US State Department say."
