Fifteen people have been injured in an explosion which took place at a restaurant in Mississauga, Ontario after two suspects detonated an improvised explosive device in a restaurant near Toronto, Canada.

Police have requested help identifying the two suspects, who were spotted on CCTV entering the Bombay Bhel restaurant with their faces and heads obscured, before fleeing the scene at approximately 10.30pm (3.30am UK time).

Three people have been taken to trauma centres with “critical blast injuries”, according to the Twitter account of Peel Paramedics, while another 12 people are reported to have minor injuries.

The attack comes a month after 10 people were in Toronto after a man – believed to be a member of the Incel movement – drove a van into a packed foot path during lunchtime.
