The UK’s biggest girl group have announced their first tour for a decade

The Spice Girls have today revealed that they will be heading out on tour next year, minus Victoria Beckham.

Mel B confirmed the news during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women where she said there would be a Spice Girls world tour, with tickets for UK dates going on sale this coming Friday.

“It’s just the four of us. I hope Victoria will join us at some point,” she said.

“It’d be a shame if she didn’t.”

Just a week ago Mel B was singing a different tune. Taking shots at her former bandmate by dressing up as Posh Spice for Halloween, Scary Spice was seen holding a sign that read: “No I am not going on tour.”

Joined by a friend who was dressed up as David Beckham, he held a sign saying: “Please, please, please do it for the Spice Girls fans.”

Asked what Victoria made of the costume, Mel B said she thought she would find it funny.

“I think she thought it was funny, there’s a bit of a love-hate relationship there,” she admitted.

Emma Bunton also announced the news this morning during her Heart Radio breakfast show telling co-host Jamie Theakston: “I’m just so excited, I want it out there. It’ll be brilliant.”

The Spice Girls, who originally split in 2000 after performing for two years as a four-piece, last performed as a fivesome at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The Spice Girls 2019 UK tour dates are as follows:

Sat June 1st – Manchester, Etihad Stadium

Mon June 3rd – Coventry, Ricoh Stadium

Thurs June 6th – Sunderland, Stadium of Light

Sat June 8th – Edinburgh, BT Murrayfield Stadium

Mon June 10th – Bristol, Ashton Gate Stadium

Sat June 14th – London, Wembley Stadium

*Support on the tour will come from Jess Glynne.

Tickets go on sale Saturday 10th November at 10:30am and can be purchased here.
