Richard Ashcroft announces 2019 UK & Ireland tour to support new album

The ex-Verve man is back

Richard Ashcroft has today announced a UK and Ireland headline tour for April and May next year. His October and November dates for 2018 sold out within minutes so fans now have the opportunity to pick up some tickets for the 2019 tour that culminates with a performance at the London Olympia - this will be the first performance at the historic venue since Primal Scream eight years ago.

The tour is to support the release of Richard Ashcroft's fifth solo studio album, Natural Rebel, which arrives October 19^th.

Natural Rebel represents the latest chapter in a hugely successful solo career for the former Verve frontman and Ivor Novello winner. Featuring 10 new songs, all of which were written by Ashcroft, the album was produced by the singer/songwriter alongside Jon Kelly (Paul McCartney, Kate Bush) and Emre Ramazanoglu (Bobby Gillespie, Jarvis Cocker).

Teasing fans ahead of the release of Natural Rebel, Ashcroft has today released a stand alone acoustic track, "Hey Columbo", which can be listened to here. "Warning: This song contains explicit language. Do not play on the school run, but turn it up on the way home," said Ashcroft of "Hey Columbo". Fans that pre-order the album from the official artist store before or during the pre-sell period will receive exclusive pre-sale access to the UK tour dates. Pre-sale tickets for the tour are available on Wednesday October 10th from 9:30am. Pre-ordering provides access to the pre-sale and is not a guarantee of tickets. General sale tickets are available on Friday 12^th October from 9:30am.
