R.I.P. the Queen of soul
It's a sad day in the music world. Aretha Franklin has passed away at the age of 76.
Diagnosed with cancer back in 2010, and after announcing last year that she would be retiring from music, her publicist confirmed the news of her passing this afternoon.

Franklin had one of the recognisable voices in American pop music, recording iconic all-time soul classics like "Respect", "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", and "I Say A Little Prayer".
