If you knew that this anthem was actually a cover, then fair play.

Tons of 90s kids have had their minds blown after being told Natalie Imbruglia’s biggest tune, 'Torn', is actually a cover. In 1993, the song was written for Danish singer Lis Sørensen and was later recorded by rock band, Ednaswap. However, the track didn’t garner much attention until a few years later when Natalie released her version. A tweet reminding people of the fact came as a surprise to a number of fans, who up until that point had been completely unaware. https://twitter.com/enigmaddict/status/992369804727078917 https://twitter.com/ucfsky/status/992167668462620672 https://twitter.com/06eleven/status/991650839948288000 https://twitter.com/nabieller/status/990562409650651137 https://twitter.com/alysal08/status/990276488221089793 Obviously, you'd assume original version wouldn't be totally unfamiliar but it still sounds pretty weird compared to Natalie’s version.
