Joe Budden tells Eminem his career is over in latest podcast episode

The Kamikaze replies continue…

This is the one fans have all been waiting for. Joe Budden has finally responded to Eminem’s diss from his most recent album.

Last Friday Eminem took aim at Joe Budden on the track “Fall”, spitting: “Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it/ Or have his body baggage zipped/ The closest thing he’s had to hits is smackin’ bitches.”

For those not too familiar, Joe Budden used to be signed to Eminem’s Shady Records as part of the rap group Slaughterhouse, alongside MCs Royce Da 5’9″, Crooked I and Joell Ortiz. He then went on to retire from music and instead become “Media Joe”.

Now a popular podcast host and media personally, his podcast The Joe Budden Podcast is one of the most popular music podcasts on the internet. Today he used this platform to reply to Eminem’s diss record.

However, instead of dropping a reply record – he still maintains he’s retired even though fans everywhere were expecting him to come out of retirement for this – he took to the mic with fellow hosts Rory and Mal to tell a few home truths about his time spent on the Shady imprint.

Discussing why the Slaughterhouse album released through Shady wasn’t that good and how it sounded completely different when it came out to what it did when he sent it in, why his issues with the rest of the group all span from his distrust of Eminem, Joe Budden also admitted for the first time that he was the reason the group split up.

Then on a more personal tip, the “Pump It Up” rapper told listeners he was a better MC than Eminem.

He also explained why he thinks Eminem won’t reply to Machine Gun Kelly’s recent diss record, and he point blank told Eminem that his career was over and that the music he’s put out over the past 10 years has been horrible and hasn’t contained anything substantial, just a bunch of words that rhyme together.

The description of the episode is as follows:

“On this weeks episode, Joe addresses Eminem. Joe explains how he received the news of being dissed (17:26). He then talks about his experience while being signed to Shady Records (36:24) and shares his thoughts on the demise of Slaughterhouse (44:25).
