This is not a drill

Anderson .Paak and Kendrick Lamar have released a new collaboration titled “Tints”.

Produced by Om’Mas Keith and .Paak himself, the track was premiered on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music’s Beats 1 show earlier this evening.

Not the first time the pair have collaborated with one another, back in 2015 they both featured on Dr. Dre’s Compton track “Deep Water”. Earlier this year .Paak appeared on “Bloody Waters” from the Kendrick-curated Black Panther: The Album.

“Tints” is the lead single from .Paak’s forthcoming album Oxnard. And while we don’t know exactly when the album is being released we do know that Dr. Dre is executive-producing it.

Also revealing that Madlib is involved with the project, .Paak told Zane Lowe that J. Cole and Pusha-T are featured guests on the LP.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, .Paak said of Oxnard:

“This is the album I dreamed of making in high school, when I was listening to [JAY-Z]’s The Blueprint, The Game’s The Documentary, and [Kanye West’s] The College Dropout.”

It’s been a busy couple of years for Anderson .Paak, who went from sleeping on floors to being one of the most sought after artists in music.

After releasing Malibu in January 2016, he joined with Knxwledge for two projects under the name NxWorries: Yes Lawd!and Yes Lawd! Remixes. Earlier this year .Paak shared the songs “Til It’s Over” and “Bubblin”.
